Translation: I’m still reading Robert Temple’s A New Science of Heaven.
And I must tell you, this man can pack more science into a chapter than I thought humanly possible while I, on the other hand, am a get-to-the point person.
So, after reading the chapter, entitled Kristian Birkeland’s Miraculous Discovery, which is about Northern Lights, here’s what seems to be the point:
“The Northern Lights remind us that the universe is electrically active.
And also- from earlier chapters- outer space isn’t empty.
Science used to teach that it was, or so I’ve read.
Of course, I’m no scientist-
But it turns out that the Universe is filled with plasma.
And what about matter as we understand it? Only for earth and its beings, which includes US.
It’s almost as if our story about a bunch of spirits wearing matter-created spacesuits and playing a cosmic reality game has wandered into a science book!
LOL!
Anyway, there’s lots of scientistic evidence in the book demonstrating the efficacy of electricity on plasma in petri dishes.
What makes this interesting is that Temple specifically states that our physical bodies contain currents of plasma. He connects this with protons moving across cell membranes.
And so, even though we “matter beings” aren’t made of auroral plasma, he reminds us that our bodies also depend on electrical communication every moment we’re alive.
