Kirk: "Attention, everyone. This is Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise. Effective immediately, my crew and I will be taking command of the daily energy group."
McCoy: " But we haven’t even been briefed!"
Kirk: " This operation involves Heaven on Earth, plasma, the human biofield, and SRC protocols."
Spock: "An intriguing undertaking. We are taking over temporarily because the head of this operation has not yet finished reading the book upon which her latest investigation is based. "
Kirk: "Exactly, Spock. And we have been assigned to free up her schedule so she can finish it."
McCoy: "Good heavens, Jim! What does this woman DO all day?"
Spock: "Quite a number of things, Doctor. However, I have identified a curious discrepancy in her time-management practices."
Kirk: "Explain."
Spock: "Last evening, between 2200 and 2400 hours, she had precisely two hours available for uninterrupted reading."
Kirk: "And?"
Spock: "She elected instead to watch YouTube videos while consuming a glass of wine. Her complaint regarding insufficient reading time is mathematically inconsistent with her recreational choices."
Kirk: "All right, that’s enough. We have a mission. Scotty, are the engines ready? Is the SRC ready to engage? "
Scotty: "Aye, Captain! But I’ve been looking over this SRC equipment, and I dinna know whether we’re running a starship or a frequency laboratory!"
Kirk: "For the next six days, Scotty, it’s a frequency laboratory."
Scotty: "Aye, Captain! Here’s what we’ve got scheduled for the Energy Group today."
"Chakras 10 and 11, the Expanded Chakra System, Schumann Resonance, I Live by My Own Rising Power, Master Electronic Devices, and something called the Bioplasmic Body."
McCoy: "Hold it right there! What in blazes is a BIOPLASMIC BODY? I’ve been a doctor for years, Jim, and nobody ever mentioned I was supposed to have one!"
Kirk: "Spock?"
Spock: "The term bioplasmic body is used in certain energetic traditions to describe a subtle-energy structure believed to be associated with the physical body."
McCoy: "Believed? You mean we’re taking this ship into unexplored territory without knowing whether the territory even exists? "
Spock: "Doctor, that is rather the purpose of exploration."
And this investigation has the potential to be fascinating. Our crew has spent years searching the universe for advanced technology, yet the most remarkable instrument may be the human being itself."
Kirk: "Go on, Spock."
Spock: "We shall investigate bioelectricity, cellular voltage, the heart’s electromagnetic field, and the broader concept of the biofield."
McCoy: "Biofield?"
Spock: "The biofield, Doctor, is described as a subtle field of energy that surrounds and permeates the physical body, interacting with its biological systems and influencing its balance and well-being."
McCoy: "And just how are we supposed to investigate a subtle field of energy. We can’t see it! ?"
Spock: The SRC is designed to scan this information through a variety of protocols."
And there is more, Doctor. Some theories propose that the biofield is the real self. While the physical body eventually wears out, this biofield may continue to exist."
McCoy: "Continue to exist WHERE?"
Spock: "In what certain speculative theories describe as the Plasma World."
McCoy: "PLASMA WORLD?"
Spock: "Indeed. Consciousness may continue in a plasma-based realm after the physical body ceases functioning."
This is precisely what we shall be investigating over the next six days."
Scotty: "SIX DAYS? Captain, I dinna even understand the first SIX MINUTES!"
Kirk: "Welcome aboard, Scotty."
